10. Edit Layers

With Mapidea, you can edit layers that you previously gave permission to be edited in the application.
Make sure that the functionality "Edit Layers" is turned-on in Role Settings (4.2 Functionalities)
10.1 Make a layer editable
In the application you have the option to add any data that has geographical information. To do this drag and drop the file directly on the map:
To make a layer editable, firstly you need to:
- Go to the administration area > Data Management > Layers data > Choose the layer you want to edit;
- Check the box that allows you to add, remove and edit elements.
Each person in the role where this feature is active can edit the layer. Caution is adviced.
10.2 Add new element
To add a new element to a layer you'll have to:
- Expand the layer in the workspace;
- Click in "Add element";
- Place the element in the map;
- Fill in the fields on the dashboard;
- Click on "Create".
10.3 Delete an element
To delete an element you'll have to:
- Select the element you want to delete;
- Click on "Delete" in the dashboard.
10.4 Edit a layer
Other than adding or deleting elements, you can simply edit the layer's attributes. All you have to do is:
- Click on an element in the layer;
- In the dashboard, click on the "Edit" button;
- Make the changes to the attributes in the dashboard;
- Click on "Save".
