10. Edit Layers

With Mapidea, you can edit layers that you previously gave permission to be edited in the application.

10.1 Make a layer editable

In the application you have the option to add any data that has geographical information. To do this drag and drop the file directly on the map:

To make a layer editable, firstly you need to:

• Go to the administration area > Data Management > Layers data > Choose the layer you want to edit;
• Check the box that allows you to add, remove and edit elements.

10.2 Add new element

To add a new element to a layer you'll have to:

• Expand the layer in the workspace;
• Click in "Add element";
• Place the element in the map;
• Fill in the fields on the dashboard;
• Click on "Create".

10.3 Delete an element

To delete an element you'll have to:

• Select the element you want to delete;
• Click on "Delete" in the dashboard.

10.4 Edit a layer

Other than adding or deleting elements, you can simply edit the layer's attributes. All you have to do is:

• Click on an element in the layer;
• In the dashboard, click on the "Edit" button;
• Make the changes to the attributes in the dashboard;
• Click on "Save".
